3D Experimenting with Mediums (7-13 year olds):
Monday-Friday: 12-2pm $195 per week

Each week will focus on a different theme that opens the world of artistic exploration, utilizing different tools and mediums. Below are the themes for each week with a description of the projects that will be done.

June 24th-28th: JEWELRY MAKING
This class will focus on using different metals and creative processes to create various pieces of jewelry. Students will create pieces that include rings, necklaces, bracelets, and pendants.

July 8th-12st: FIBERS
By utilizing materials that include fabric, needles, and string, students will be creating stuffed creatures.

July 15th-19th: PRINTMAKING
This week students will explore different printmaking methods to create monoprints. Students will use tools that include the Gelli plate and linoleum plate.

July 22st-26th: PAPIER MACHE
Students will discover the unique material of papier mache to design and sculpt bugs. This week is the theme ANIMALS and students will also have the opportunity to create an observational drawing of a real and unique desert animal.

July 29th-August 2nd: CLAY
To learn various techniques, students will explore the art material clay to create vessels. After creating the vessels, the class will learn the pinch pot method to make mini figurines inspired by the matryoshka Doll.

August 5th-August 9th: THREADS
This class will be using threads that include string and fabric to create embroidered pillows. Students will learn various embroidery techniques and design a personal work of art out of string. After designing a work of art using embroidery techniques, students will create and stuff their own pillow using their embroidered design.
