Elicia Nichole Frazier is a full-time professional artist and a certified “highly qualified” visual arts teacher for K-12th grade

Elicia graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts (BFA) followed by a Masters Degree in Art Teaching (MAT) from nationally ranked, Maryland Institute College of Art. As a first year undergraduate, her initial artwork submission was selected for show at the esteemed, juried MICA Fall Exhibition. Since then, she participated in many MICA related exhibitions, most notably an International Painting Enrichment Program which included a semester of artistic exposure in Sorrento, Italy. Elicia also received her AA degree at Howard Community College where she continues to take advanced painting classes.

Elicia started her teaching career at Sudbrook Magnet Middle School for 6 years and at Milford Mill Academy (High School) for an additional year. Elicia’s exemplary teaching efforts were influential as Sudbrook was awarded the distinguished 2009 Maryland State and the 2010 National Kennedy Center Arts Award. For several consecutive years, her students obtained 1st place honors in Countywide and Statewide juried Art Competitions. She also assists student artists with GT development and art portfolios for college submissions and/or art magnet programs at the Middle School and High School levels.
