Info: Students look at several different artists in order to
paint in different styles.
As a young artist, do you have what it takes to be different?
What is your favorite artistic style? This still life class goes
beyond the traditional training of drawing and painting. Instead,
the artistic styles and history of influential artists from post-impressionism,
expressionism, abstract, pop art and pointillism will be explored.
In their day, the artists associated with these artistic movements
were considered as rebels because they interpreted art differently.
Come and explore the rebel in you, using pastel, paint, watercolor,
marker and tissue paper to create art influenced by these art periods.
Once you see all the way you can express yourself, take the ultimate
challenge…..step into creativity and create your own unique style.

Students will work on their own school requirements for the Gifted
and Talented art programs. On the first day, bring your application
requirements, a small calendar, paper to take notes, and 1-2 pieces
of your artwork to class.
